down and to the left.

driving over the Mississippi

well, i got there.
i went to arizona.
and i loved it.

at the last minute, my grandma decided that she would rather fly to arizona and garrett was recruited to make the drive with me.

he tried to complain for a second. until he remembered how awesome it is to road trip with me.

and so we left the saturday after thanksgiving. it was a little stressful getting out the door, and of course i had to do insanity before i left because i had a whole lot of sitting and gummy bear eating ahead of me.
and so maybe we didn't pull out of the driveway until 2:00pm but whatever. we still got a solid 10 hours in and we stopped in Baton Rouge, LA.
the next day we made it to Van Horn, TX.
did you know you could drive 15 hours and never leave that daggum state?

texas is big.

Van Horn, TX, however, is eerily small. there was nothing. just desert and dirt oh, and a pet friendly Hampton Inn.

we made it to our final destination in Scottsdale at about 6:00 pm Monday evening. we dropped off the car and got to spend the rest of the week seeing my family. because i'm totally lame, i didn't take a single picture.

umm..guys..i don't even. whatever.
but if i hadn't been so lame, i would have documented my first ever official Yoga class.
(and how i looked like a fool.)
and eating Costa Vida for the first time in 2 years.
and hanging out with my awesome aunts.
and seeing my cousin's darling baby, Gibson.
and my multiple bloody noses (hey, arizona-you might want to invest in some humidity. just some.)
and the lights at the Mesa Temple.
and the awesome game night of Clue we played with our friends Jenn and Garrison.
and the great Sephora gifts Garrett's parents bought me. (they hopped on over from California to see us while we were in AZ.)

and probably a lot of other cool stuff.

but i'm lame. so none of that got documented.
maybe next time?

i miss arizona. i had good times there.

but now i'm tired. really tired. i don't do time changes well.

21 days until christmas!

love,
kate.

lyrics: and please don't tell me that i'm dreaming when all i ever wanted was to dream another sunset with you.

  4. Your blog is SO CUTE. Love it! Following you now!

And hooray! I love meeting other SoCo + Jack's fans! You're only the second one I've met through here though! Still merits an addition to my favorite blogs list though, I think. :)
