pizzer in the perk.

welp, i'm officially the worst blogger ever.
my anniversary was over a week ago. and while i did post a slightly cheeseball tender post about my memories of my wedding day, i completely neglected to share with you the events of our anniversary. a good blogger would have posted about an anniversary date as the events were happening. sorry, guys. i'll try to up my game. but probably not.

as i've mentioned before, garrett and i are both severely laid back and incredibly poor. and while we would love, love, love to go on a vacation or getaway to celebrate our anniversary, we pretty much would have to sell an organ or three to make it happen.

so we had a picnic in the park instead. and no organs were sold. not this year, at least.

garrett and i went on a cruise for our honeymoon and while there was an absolute smorgasbord of food offered throughout the day, we were most taken with the 24 hour pizza and caesar salad. twenty-four hour pizza. oh, what? it's 8 am and i just woke up? pizza! midnight shnack? pizza! okay whatever. maybe we're 9 years old but the fact of the matter is, it was awesome. and so we celebrate our anniversary with pizza and caesar salad and reminisce on the days when we ate a buttload of it in the span of one week. we also ate way more soft serve ice cream than any two people should ever admit to.

and then we came home and, as per tradition, i tried on my wedding dress and awkwardly posed in it. 'cause hey. it's my wedding day. and i can do whatever cheesy thing i want.

check out those roots. hawt.
it's just that i love it. and my parents paid a lot of money for it and i hate that i only got to wear it twice (two receptions). so i wear it for a few minutes every year. my plan is that by the time i'm 98 i will have gotten fair use and wear of it. it's a pretty good plan, right?

love,
kate.

lyrics: you and me together could do anything, baby.

  3. Your dress is beautiful so duh you should try it on whenever possible. I'm probably going to be the freak who has my wedding dress framed in my house or wears it around and dances in the mirror on a weekly basis. The pizza picnic looks delicious...pizza is my favorite food and my boyfriend can't eat it because he's lactose intolerant...heart breaking.
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. That's such a cute idea! Although trying on my wedding dress now makes me a little bit anxious. Pretty sure I'm the same size I was then, but if I'm not...ughhhh.

Anywho, I'm all about a picnic in the park. With pizza. That's a lot of p-words, lol. Happy Anniversary!
