be still my melting heart.

today's post is brought to by the young men of the Grantsville West Stake (in Utah).
it is fantastic and awkward and glorious and i have watched it no less than 40 times (in the past 24 hours) and i just need everyone to love it as much as i do.
because the 16 year old me is crushing and crying tears of absolute joy.

this post doesn't require very many words.
but i will say this: my male offspring had better be as fantastic as the boy in this video at the 3:08 mark.
because..
srsly.

also, i miss being the age of acceptability for me to still love boy bands.

and thank you boys of the Grantsville West Stake. you have warmed my heart and made my day.
may you always be this awesome.

love,
kate.

lyrics: and i can't believe you don't know, you don't know you're beautiful.

  1. Love this. I'm from Grantsville and saw that you blogged this, I'll be honest it warmed my heart. Thanks for thinking that these amazing boys are as wonderful as they truly are.

  2. also ...

i miss being the age of acceptability for me to still love teenage boys.

i'm a cougar, but only on the football field. sadly.

these guys are so much better than anything i've been out with lately.

  3. it's good to know that awkward is universal and timeless. boys now and boys from 15 years ago have absolutely everything in common.

  4. I'm looking forward to my boys being that awesome. And that kid at 3:08? Your posterity will be that fantastic. Positive.
